Attachment Parenting: Bonding with Newborn Babies

The idea of attachment parenting is bantered around frequently. Speaking as a 25-year attachment parent, it's much more than talking the talk. We didn't do it perfectly, but we did walk the walk. Here's how, starting with newborns. Hold baby. You can't be attached to baby if she's always in a separate conveyance: stroller, infant carrier, bouncy seat. Ditch the carrier, except when using as a car seat. An infant's developing body shouldn't always be hunched in a reclining position.
